Creating a new product.

When the Product administration module is opened, by default the window is in select-mode (see the interface description) and the contract is selected in the left pane of the window. The contract details are displayed in the right pane of the window. To be able to create a new product, the department for which the product is created has to be selected, in the left pane. The window is in select-mode and the department details are displayed in the right pane of the window. If the user is authorized (see the authorization table), the New-button is enabled (see picture). By activating the New-button, the window gets in edit-mode (see next picture) and an empty entry-pane is opened for the creation of a new product.

When the window is in edit-mode, the Save-button is activated and the product details can be entered. All data items have to be entered, except 'Date created'. The standards can be selected from a list, which contains all available products with 'private' standards extended with a reference to the the QStudio default standards. When all data is entered, it can be saved by activating the Save-button. The window will now return to the select-mode.
