Select scope.

The Compliance view is a hierarchical view for in-depth analysis. The hierachy consists of 3 levels. i.e. file, class and method.

• File, all file-related metrics are displayed
• Class, all class-related metrics are displayed
• Method, all method-related metrics are displayed

Regardless the level in the hierarchy the same type of information per entity is displayed.

• Name, the name of the file/class/method. By selecting the entity(name) a new window is opened displaying the Java source code file.
• Compliance, an indication whether the entity complies to the pre-defined quality as defined in the Quality Standard.
• The selection of hierarchy-level is done through the -icon.
• By selecting the -icon the related software metrics are displayed.

By selecting a next hierarchy level for a certain entity (file/class/method) the next level is displayed e.g. all classes within a file. Once a level is selected e.g. class, than the header contains a 'Back'-button to go up 1 level.
