Browsers.

The WUI client is a Web application i.e. it runs in the context of a browser. For the best results, it is recommended to run 1 of the following browsers:

  • Windows : Explorer 5.x, 6.x or Netscape 6.x.
  • Linux : Netscape 6.x
  • Solaris : Netscape 6.x

    • The client is invoked by specifying the QStudio server as URL in the browser. Depending on the configuration of the infra-structure, you can type: 

    http://<IP-address>

    or 

    http://<hostname>

    Applets.

    Part of the functionality in the WUI client is implemented in applets. To be able to run these parts in your browser, the proper plug-in has to be installed depending on the active JDK version.
